This museum was founded in 1867 by Giacomo Doria, it contains 3.5million exhibits with one of the richest zoological collections in Europe. The entomological collection is the most complete in Europe.

If you cross the city centre and follow the central Via XX Settembre for the whole of its length you reach the Piazza della Vittoria that looks onto the modern towers of Corte Lambruschini.
