Every weekend, from Friday to Sunday, it is possible to visit the Lanterna, symbol of Genoa, from which you can admire the city at 360°!
According to some testimonies, its foundation dates back to 1128, and it reached its current appearance in 1543.
With its 77 meters it is the tallest lighthouse in the Mediterranean and the light from the lighthouse reaches a distance of 50 kilometers.
From the top you can admire the port, the seventeenth-century city walls, the crown of forts that surround the city, the Ligurian Apennines and Mount Portofino.
Also not to be missed is the museum, which traces the history of the city.
